Cape Mobile is on the Road Again!

Fall is here and so are family friendly art festivals! Let's start October off with excitement with two outdoor festivals in the DMV area.

Art on the Avenue is happening Saturday 10-6 on October 5th, 2024. You wont want to miss this annual event in the DelRay neighborhood in Alexandria, VA. Mount Vernon Avenue (between Bellefonte and Hume Avenues) will be closed to traffic and thousand of families flock to the regional multicultural arts and music festival. Art on the Avenue hand selects 300 artists to represent to best of handmade one of a kind creative works. A variety of musical performers and food vendors will be there as you spend the day on the avenue! Kids activities include stuff your own scarecrow, paint a pumpkin, weave screen art and more. The weekend entertainment continues...

The annual Takoma Park Street Festival is Sunday 10-5, October 6th, 2024 in historic Takoma Park on the MD/DC line. This hometown event draws people from MD/DC/VA. Creative Capes first appeared on the craft show circuit in 2010 at this very festival and I return year after year to be part of this inviting event. There will be 185 vendors, 18 local bands and food trucks. See their website for more details mainstreettakoma.org
